At Rapid our number one priority is protecting the safety of our employees and customers. Pest Control has been designated as an ‘essential service’ by the Indiana and Illinois executive offices and we will continue to provide service to our customers. This time of year, our treatments naturally move to the exterior in order to prevent outside insects from coming in. DASHING THRU THE SNOW …

The weather has hit us hard and it looks like winter is here to stay. Be prepared for the cold and the wintery road conditions. Pack a winter emergency kit and keep it in the vehicle. This should include a warm blanket, extra hats, and gloves, some water, nonperishable food items, and an extra phone charger. AAA has some great info for taking care of your car in the cold weather and also tips for driving in the snow. Stay safe this winter!

BEER, BACON, AND BOURBON FESTIVAL

This event is hosted by Off Square Brewing and will be held from 2-6p at Bulldog Park. With over 30 bourbons and 100+ craft beers, there is something for everyone. Food trucks will be on hand and there is a great band lineup. So, don’t let the end of summer get you down, there are great events happening in our area all year round.

The Ants Are Marching…

Did you know that for ants it’s summer year-round in your home? Although the temperatures outside are cold your house offers a warm haven. Our weather is unpredictable, even under the best of circumstances. This time of year it can go from colder to warmer within hours. Keep in mind that even if it’s cold outside the sun can warm up the walls of your home enough to cause the ants to come out. When they realize it’s still cold they will look for a warm place – and that place turns out to be your home!
